The McDougal Creek wildfire burning in West Kelowna has led to thousands of evacuations and even more on alert.

In a press conference, West Kelowna fire chief Jason Brolund said “I think it’s become evident that this event is going to leave a long-lasting scar on the community — but I’m already seeing how the community is coming together."
